Zorawar meaning
Zorawar (ਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰ) is a Sikh boy's name of Persian origin (Punjabi usage).
Powerful, strong; a physically strong man
Also used to mean: brave
Zorawar (ਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰ) is the Persian zor-āwar, from zor, strength or force, and the suffix -āwar, "possessing". Steingass's Persian dictionary gives powerful and a strong man. For Sikhs the name is honoured above all through Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, the third son of Guru Gobind Singh, who as a young boy was executed with his younger brother Fateh Singh at Sirhind for refusing to give up his faith; Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib marks the place. Name lists give "brave" or "strong". It is a boys' name, also written Jorawar.
