Ahyan (احیان) is a modern name used by Indian Muslim families, usually explained on name lists as "gift of God". We could not find that sense in any dictionary. Written in Arabic letters, aḥyān is the plural of ḥīn, which Lane's lexicon defines as a time or period of any length, from a moment to many years; the plural means "times" or "occasions", and survives in the Arabic adverb aḥyānan, "sometimes". So the dictionary meaning is "times, moments", and "gift of God" appears to be a modern gloss.
