Bushra meaning
Bushra (بشریٰ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Good news, glad tidings
Bushra (بشریٰ) is Arabic bushrā, "good news" or "glad tidings", a noun from bashshara, "to bring good news". Lane's Lexicon explains such tidings as news that changes a person's complexion with joy. The word appears several times in the Quran: in 10:64 the friends of God are promised good news in this life and the next, and in 12:19 a traveller who has let down his bucket into a well cries "yā bushrā!" on finding the young Joseph. Name lists today give the same meaning, so the popular and dictionary senses agree. The Pakistani television actress Bushra Ansari, who received the Pride of Performance in 1989, is a well-known bearer.
