Zahira meaning
Zahira (زاہرہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Shining, bright; (of a plant) beautiful; (of the complexion) bright, radiant
Zahira (زاہرہ) is the feminine of Arabic zāhir, from the root z-h-r, "to shine", which also gives zahra, "a blossom", and the name Zahra. Lane's lexicon gives zāhir as shining: a fire-stick that gives a bright flame, a plant that is beautiful, a complexion that is bright, and even a turn of fortune that is brilliant. Name lists give Zahira as "shining" or "radiant", in line with the dictionary. A different Arabic word, ẓāhira (ظاہرہ), means "apparent, manifest", and some families use that spelling.
