Musfira meaning
Musfira (مسفرہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Shining, bright; (of a face) glowing with happiness
Also used to mean: radiant
Musfira (مسفرہ) is the feminine of the Arabic musfir, from asfara, "to shine". Lane's lexicon explains asfara as the shining of the dawn when daybreak is clear, and of a person's face as shining with happiness or beauty; the root s-f-r also gives safar, "a journey", from the idea of uncovering. The Quran uses the very form musfira for the faces of the blessed: "Some faces, that Day, will be bright, laughing, rejoicing" (80:38–39). Name lists give Musfira as "glowing with happiness" or "radiant", matching the dictionary.
