Jabeen meaning
Jabeen (جبیں) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (via Persian and Urdu).
The side of the forehead; in Persian and Urdu, the brow
Jabeen (جبیں) is Arabic jabīn, from the root j-b-n. Lane's lexicon defines it as the side of the forehead: the two jabīns lie on either side of the jabha, the forehead proper. The Quran uses the word when Ibrahim lays his son down on his brow (37:103). In Persian and Urdu poetry jabīn is the usual word for a fair brow, often one bowed in prayer, and names such as Mahjabeen, "moon-browed", build on it. Name lists give Jabeen as "forehead" or "brow". The same Arabic spelling can also mean "timid", a separate word.
