Abeer meaning
Abeer (عبیر) is a Hindu and Muslim unisex name of Arabic origin, used for both girls and boys.
A perfume compounded with saffron; by some, saffron itself
Also used to mean: fragrance
Abeer (عبیر) is Arabic ʿabīr, from the root ʿ-b-r. Lane's lexicon describes it as a particular blend of perfumes made with saffron, and notes that one early authority said the pre-Islamic Arabs used the word for saffron itself. Name lists give Abeer simply as "fragrance" or "perfume", which is a fair summary. Among Indian Muslims it is a girl's name. Hindu families use Abir mainly for boys, but that comes from a separate Hindi word, abīr, the coloured powder of Holi.
