Afaq meaning
Afaq (آفاق) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Horizons; the regions and far quarters of the earth
Afaq (آفاق) is the Arabic āfāq, the plural of ufuq, "horizon". Lane's lexicon defines ufuq as the horizon and, more widely, a side, region or quarter of the land or the sky, so that āfāq can mean the far-off regions of the world. The Quran uses the word in 41:53, where God promises to show His signs "in the horizons and within themselves". In Urdu, āfāq is a familiar literary word for the wide world, and Afaq is used as a boy's name in India and Pakistan.
