Shaheen meaning
Shaheen (شاہین) is a Muslim unisex name of Persian origin, used for both girls and boys.
A royal white falcon; also the beam of a balance
Shaheen is the Persian word shāhīn, which Steingass defines as a royal white falcon; the same word could also mean the beam or tongue of a pair of scales. It is the Persian name for a kind of peregrine falcon, and it is often heard as if it contained shāh, 'king', although Steingass lists it as a word of its own. In India and Pakistan the name is given to both boys and girls: the Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is a well-known male bearer, and it is also used as a woman's name. Baby-name lists give 'falcon' or 'royal white falcon', which is the dictionary sense.
