Arshiya meaning
Arshiya (عرشیہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (via Persian and Urdu).
Heavenly; of the throne of God
Arshiya (عرشیہ) is a feminine form of ʿarshī, "heavenly", from Arabic ʿarsh. Lane's lexicon defines ʿarsh as a booth for shade and as a king's throne, and uses it for the throne of God, al-ʿArsh, which is often mentioned in the Quran. Steingass' Persian dictionary records ʿarshī as "heavenly" and its plural for the angels who bear the divine throne. Name lists give Arshiya as "heavenly" or "throne", in line with these words. It is used by Muslim families in India, alongside the shorter Arshi.
