Arsh meaning
Arsh (عرش) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
A throne, a king's seat; the Throne of God
Also used to mean: sky
Arsh (عرش) is the Arabic ʿarsh. Lane's lexicon gives its earliest senses as a booth or shelter roofed with reeds, a roof or a dwelling, and then the throne or seat of a king. Al-ʿArsh, the Throne of God, is a central image of the Quran, which calls God "Lord of the mighty Throne" (9:129); Lane notes that commentators describe it in different ways, some as the highest sphere of the heavens. That is why Urdu poetry uses ʿarsh for the highest heaven, and why name lists give Arsh as "throne" or "sky".
