Adeeb meaning
Adeeb (ادیب) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Well-bred, cultivated, skilled in refined accomplishments
Also used to mean: well-mannered, man of letters
Adeeb (ادیب) is the Arabic adīb, "one who has adab". Lane's lexicon explains adab as the discipline of the mind and good moral qualities, politeness and refinement, and describes the adīb as well-bred, well-educated and skilled in refined accomplishments. Because adab later came to mean literature as well as manners, adīb is also the ordinary Urdu and Arabic word for a writer or man of letters. Name lists give Adeeb as "cultured" or "well-mannered", and sometimes "man of letters".
