Arsalan meaning
Arsalan (ارسلان) is a Muslim boy's name of Turkic origin (via Persian).
Lion; also a surname of several Persian kings
Also used to mean: fearless
Arsalan (ارسلان) is a Turkic word for "lion" that entered Persian and Urdu. Steingass's Persian dictionary gives arslān as a lion and notes that it was taken as a surname by several kings of Persia, the best known being the Seljuq sultan Alp Arslān (reigned 1063–1072), whose name means "hero lion". The modern Turkish word for lion is the shorter aslan. Name lists give Arsalan as "lion" or "fearless", and the spelling Arslan is also used.
