Sahar meaning
Sahar (سحر) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
The time a little before daybreak; the last part of the night
Also used to mean: dawn, early morning
Sahar (سحر) is the Arabic saḥar, the time a little before daybreak. Lane's lexicon defines it as the last part of the night, just before dawn, and says it is so called because night is then departing and day arriving. The pre-dawn meal of Ramadan, Arabic saḥūr and Urdu sehri, takes its name from the same word. Name lists give Sahar as "dawn" or "early morning", which is close to the dictionary sense. The same letters read siḥr mean magic, but that is a different word.
