Fauzia meaning
Fauzia (فوزیہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Of success and triumph; from fawz, success, attaining good
Also used to mean: successful, victorious, triumphant
Fauzia (فوزیہ) is formed from Arabic fawz, "success, triumph", with the ending -iyya, "of, relating to". Lane's lexicon explains the verb fāza and its noun fawz as attaining good, gaining what one desired, being far from harm, and winning the victory. In the Quran the believers' entry into Paradise is called al-fawz al-ʿaẓīm, "the great triumph" (4:13). Name lists give Fauzia as "successful" or "victorious". The name is used by Muslims in India and Pakistan; the spelling Fawzia was borne by Princess Fawzia of Egypt, first wife of the last Shah of Iran.
