Mansura meaning
Mansura (منصورہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Aided (by God) against an enemy; victorious (feminine of manṣūr)
Mansura (منصورہ) is the feminine of the Arabic manṣūr, from naṣara, "to help", the root of naṣr, "help, victory". Lane's lexicon gives manṣūr as one who is aided or helped, especially against an enemy, which is why the name is usually read as "victorious"; land that has been rained on is also called manṣūra, "helped". The Quran uses manṣūr in 17:33. Name lists give Mansura as "victorious" or "triumphant", in line with the dictionary. The city of Mansura in Egypt and the historical city of al-Mansura in Sindh share the name. It is the female counterpart of Mansoor.
