Manini meaning
Manini (मानिनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, मा, it is a Simha rashi name (Magha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A proud or high-minded woman; highly honoured; name of an Apsaras
Also used to mean: dignified
Manini (मानिनी) is the feminine of Sanskrit mānin, which Monier-Williams glosses as high-minded, proud, and highly honoured or esteemed. In classical poetry māninī is also a set figure, the woman who is offended and sulking with her lover until he wins her back, and the dictionary gives that sense first. It also records Māninī as the name of an Apsaras and of a princess in the Markandeya Purana. Name lists give honoured or dignified, which follow the adjective mānin. The name is used across India, especially in Maharashtra and Bengal.
