Faiza meaning
Faiza (فائزہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
One who attains her goal; successful, victorious
Also used to mean: winner
Faiza is the feminine of Arabic fāʼiz, from the verb fāza, 'to win'. Lane's lexicon defines fāza as attaining or gaining something good, winning good fortune, succeeding or being victorious, and also as becoming safe or escaping from harm; fawz is the success itself. The Quran uses the word for the highest kind of success: those who believe and strive, it says, 'are the ones who will attain' (al-fāʼizūn, 9:20), and it speaks of al-fawz al-ʿaẓīm, 'the great triumph'. Lane adds that a mafāza is a place of safety, and also a waterless desert. Baby-name lists give 'successful', 'victorious' or 'winner', the dictionary sense. The masculine form is Faiz.
