Saeeda meaning
Saeeda (سعیدہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Happy, fortunate, prosperous, in a state of felicity
Saeeda (سعیدہ) is the feminine of Arabic saʿīd, from the root s-ʿ-d, "to be happy, to prosper". Lane's lexicon defines saʿīd as prosperous, fortunate or happy, in a state of felicity in religion as well as in worldly things, and notes that the feminine adds -a. The same root gives saʿd and saʿāda, good fortune and happiness, and the boys' names Saad and Saeed. Name lists give Saeeda as "happy" or "fortunate", in line with the dictionary. The spellings Sayeeda and Saida are also used.
