Malika meaning
Malika (ملکہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
A queen
Malika (ملکہ) is the Arabic malika, "queen", the feminine of malik, "king", from the root m-l-k, "to possess, to rule". Platts's Urdu dictionary gives malika as a queen, and Urdu used the title malika-e-muʿazzama, "the exalted queen". Lane's lexicon gives mulk from the same root as dominion, sovereignty and kingship. Name lists give Malika as "queen", matching the dictionary. The Arabic name is separate from the Sanskrit name Mallika, "jasmine", although the two can sound alike in English spelling.
