Atika meaning
Atika (عاتکہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
(of a woman) tinged red with perfume; noble, high-born
Also used to mean: pure
Atika (عاتکہ) is Arabic ʿātika, from the root ʿ-t-k. Lane's lexicon uses the masculine ʿātik for wood turned red with age, and gives ʿātika, of a woman, as one tinged red by perfume, and also as high-born or noble. Name lists give the meaning as "noble" or "pure"; "noble" has support in the dictionary. It is one of the oldest Arabic women's names: ʿĀtika bint ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib, an aunt of the Prophet Muhammad, is remembered for a dream she described before the Battle of Badr.
