Farwa meaning
Farwa (فروہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
A fur garment; a king's crown; abundance, wealth
Also used to mean: fur cloak
Farwa (فروہ) is an Arabic word with several senses. Lane's lexicon gives it as a fur or a furred garment, the scalp, a woman's head-covering, and a crown such as a king wears, said to be named from the skins it was made of. It also records farwa as a dialect form of tharwa, "abundance, wealth". Name lists give Farwa as "crown" or "wealth", both found in Lane. The name is used by Shia families: Umm Farwa, Fatima bint al-Qasim, was the mother of Imam Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq and was known for her piety.
