Yusra meaning
Yusra (یسریٰ) is a Muslim and international girl's name of Arabic origin.
Ease, easy circumstances; also comfort and plenty
Also used to mean: prosperity
Yusra is Arabic yusrā, from the root y-s-r, 'to be easy'. Lane's lexicon gives yusr and yusrā as easiness or facility, the opposite of ʿusr, hardship, and extends them to easy circumstances: comfort, sufficiency, even wealth and plenty. The word is a Quranic one: 'We will ease your way to al-yusrā' (87:8), and again, 'We will smooth his way to ease' (92:7). The same root gives the well-known verse 'with hardship comes ease' (94:5). Lane also notes that yusrā, as the feminine of aysar, can mean the left hand, an unrelated use of the same form. Baby-name lists give 'ease' or 'prosperity'. The Syrian swimmer Yusra Mardini is a well-known bearer.
