Inaya meaning
Inaya (عنایہ) is a Muslim and international girl's name of Arabic origin.
Concern, attentive care for a matter or person
Also used to mean: protection, gift of god
Inaya (عنایہ) is the Arabic ʿināya, a noun from the root ʿ-n-y, 'to concern or occupy oneself with'. Salmone's Arabic–English dictionary of 1889 gives it as care and solicitude, and the phrase al-ʿināya al-ilāhiyya as Divine Providence. The classical lexicon Tāj al-ʿArūs quotes Ibn al-Athīr explaining ʿināya in a hadith as guarding or protection, which matches the 'care and protection' many lists give. Name lists also call it a 'gift of God'. That is not a sense of the Arabic noun itself, but in Urdu and Persian the related ʿināyat means favour, kindness and also a gift or present, as Platts records. The men's name Inayat comes from that same word.
