Nasira meaning
Nasira (ناصرہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
A helper; one who aids another, especially against an enemy
Also used to mean: supporter, victorious
Nasira (ناصرہ) is the feminine of Nasir, from Arabic nāṣir, the active participle of naṣara, "to help". Lane's lexicon defines nāṣir as one who aids or assists another, especially against an enemy; the same root gives naṣr, "help, victory", and the names Nusrat and Naseer. Name lists give Nasira as "helper" or "supporter", and some add "victorious", which comes from naṣr. A well-known bearer is the Hindi novelist Nasira Sharma, born in Allahabad, who won the Sahitya Akademi Award for her novel Paarijat.
