Insiya meaning
Insiya (انسیہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Human, of mankind (feminine of insiyy)
Also used to mean: member of mankind, humane
Insiya (انسیہ) is Arabic insiyya, the feminine of insiyy, from the root ʾ-n-s, which also gives ins, "mankind", and uns, "friendliness, affection". Lane's lexicon defines insiyy as belonging to mankind, human, or a human being, and notes that ins can also mean a close, chosen friend. The word appears in the Quran when Maryam vows to speak to no human being that day (19:26). Name lists give Insiya as "member of mankind" or "humane". It is used by Muslim families in India and Pakistan.
