Kainat meaning
Kainat (کائنات) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu and Persian usage).
Beings, creatures, existences; the universe
Kainat comes from Arabic kāʼināt, the plural of kāʼina, 'a thing that exists', which is built on the verb kāna, 'to be'. Steingass's Persian dictionary, which records the word as Persian and Urdu writers used it, gives 'beings, creatures, existences' and 'the universe', and adds an everyday commercial sense of property, stock or means. In Urdu and Hindi, kāināt is the ordinary literary word for the universe or the whole of creation, and that is how families read the name. It is a girl's name in India and Pakistan, often spelt Kainaat. The meaning given on baby-name lists, 'universe' or 'creation', is the dictionary sense.
