Aamira meaning
Aamira (عامرہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Flourishing, inhabited, well-peopled; feminine of ʿāmir, 'long-living'
Also used to mean: prosperous, full of life
Aamira (عامرہ) is the feminine of Aamir, Arabic ʿāmir, from the root ʿ-m-r, the root of ʿumr, "life". Lane's lexicon gives ʿāmir as living long and as staying or dwelling in a place, and explains arḍ ʿāmira as land that is lived on, cultivated and flourishing, the opposite of a wasteland. Name lists give Aamira as "prosperous" or "full of life", which follows these senses. It begins with the letter ʿayn and is a different name from Amira, "princess", although the two are sometimes spelled alike in English.
