Daima meaning
Daima (دائمہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Continuing, lasting; everlasting, perpetual
Also used to mean: eternal, permanent
Daima (دائمہ) is the feminine of Arabic dāʾim, from the root d-w-m, "to last, to continue". Lane's lexicon gives dāʾim as continuing, lasting or enduring, and lasting for ever, permanent. The Quran says of Paradise that "its fruit is everlasting, and its shade" (13:35), and praises those who are constant in their prayer, ʿalā ṣalātihim dāʾimūn (70:23). In Urdu dāʾim is a familiar word in phrases such as qāʾim-o-dāʾim, "firm and lasting". Name lists give Daima as "everlasting" or "eternal".
