Najiya meaning
Najiya (ناجیہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
(root n-j-w) one who is safe, who has escaped harm
Also used to mean: saved, successful
Najiya (ناجیہ) is the Arabic nājiya, the feminine of nājī, "one who is safe", from the verb najā. Lane's lexicon gives najā as he became safe or secure, or he escaped, and the same root gives najāt, "deliverance", a common Urdu word. Name lists give Najiya as "saved" or "safe", and some add "successful" in the sense of coming through safely. The boys' name Naji is the matching form. Najiya is used by Muslim families in India and across the Arab world.
