Daivi meaning
Daivi (दैवी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Divine, belonging to or coming from the gods (feminine of daiva)
Also used to mean: heavenly
Daivi (दैवी) is the feminine of the Sanskrit adjective daiva, made from deva, "god". Monier-Williams gives daiva as belonging to or coming from the gods, divine and celestial. The dictionary also lists daivī as a woman married by the Daiva rite, one of the eight forms of marriage in the law books, in which a daughter is given to the priest at a sacrifice. In Hindi and other Indian languages daivī is still the ordinary word for "divine". Name lists give Daivi as "divine" or "heavenly", which matches the dictionary.
