Raheela meaning
Raheela (رحیلہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
(root r-ḥ-l) departure, setting out on a journey
Also used to mean: traveller, one who journeys
Raheela (رحیلہ) is the feminine form of Raheel, from Arabic raḥīl and the root r-ḥ-l, which begins with saddling a camel and so comes to mean setting out. Lane's lexicon gives raḥīl, in the same sense as riḥla, as a removal, departure or journey. Name lists give Raheela as "traveller", which follows these senses. The name is also written راحیلہ, which is how Arabic writes Rāḥīl, the biblical Rachel, so some families may have that name in mind instead. Raheela is used in Pakistan and among Muslim families in India.
