Shehla meaning
Shehla (شہلا) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
(of a woman, or an eye) having shuhla: a tinge of blue-grey, or of red, in the black of the eye
Also used to mean: dark grey eyes, beautiful eyes
Shehla (شہلا) is the Arabic shahlāʾ, the feminine of ashhal, an adjective for eyes. Lane's lexicon explains it by shuhla, a tinge of blue or grey in the black of the eye, "more beautiful" than a full blue-grey; some authorities instead describe a reddish tint in very dark eyes. In Persian and Urdu poetry, chashm-e shahlā, the shahlā eye, is praised as beautiful. Name lists give Shehla as "dark grey eyes" or "beautiful eyes". The name is used across the Muslim world; Shahla is the Persian spelling.
