Salwa meaning
Salwa (سلویٰ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
A quail; whatever comforts or contents one in privation; also honey
Also used to mean: consolation, solace
Salwa (سلویٰ) comes from the Arabic root s-l-w, "to be consoled, to forget a grief". Lane's lexicon gives salwā first as a certain bird, the quail of later usage, and also as anything that comforts or contents a person in privation; honey, he notes, is called by it for its sweetness. The closely related salwa means comfort or consolation. The Quran tells how God sent down "manna and quails", al-manna wa-l-salwā, to the Children of Israel in the wilderness (2:57). Name lists give Salwa as "comfort" or "solace".
