Kashifa meaning
Kashifa (کاشفہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
She who uncovers or reveals; who removes hardship
Kashifa (کاشفہ) is the feminine of the Arabic kāshif, "one who uncovers", from kashafa. Lane's lexicon explains kashafa as uncovering, unveiling or revealing a thing, and also as removing or dispelling grief. The feminine form appears in the Quran in Surah an-Najm (53:58), which says that none but God can lay bare the coming Hour. The name is the female counterpart of Kashif, a boy's name used in India and Pakistan. Name lists give Kashifa as "one who reveals" or "disclosing", which matches the dictionary.
