Aleema meaning
Aleema (علیمہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Knowing, learned; possessing firmly rooted knowledge
Also used to mean: knowledgeable, intellectual
Aleema (علیمہ) is the feminine of Aleem, Arabic ʿalīm, from the root ʿ-l-m, "to know", which also gives ʿilm, "knowledge", and ʿulamāʾ, "scholars". Lane's lexicon says ʿalīm means the same as ʿālim, one whose knowledge is firmly rooted, a learned person, and notes al-ʿAlīm, "the All-Knowing", as a name of God; this is why boys are named Abdul Aleem. Name lists give Aleema as "learned" or "knowledgeable", in line with the dictionary.
