Deeba meaning
Deeba (دیبا) is a Muslim girl's name of Persian origin (Urdu usage).
Brocade, figured silk
Also used to mean: fine silk
Deeba (دیبا) is the Persian word dībā, "brocade". Steingass's Persian dictionary defines it as brocade, silk woven with gold and silver threads, and adds a poetic use, "the eye of a mistress". The same word passed into Arabic as dībāj, and Persian poets used it for anything fine, rich and many-coloured. Name lists give Deeba as "silk" or "fine silk", which fits the dictionary. The name is used by Muslim families in India and Pakistan, and also in Sindhi.
