Rakhshanda meaning
Rakhshanda (رخشندہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Persian origin (Urdu usage).
Shining, flashing, dazzling, resplendent
Also used to mean: radiant, brilliant
Rakhshanda (رخشندہ) is a Persian participle from rakhshīdan, "to shine", built on rakhsh, "light, brilliance". Platts's Urdu dictionary defines it, like rakhshān, as shining, flashing, dazzling and resplendent, and notes that Rakhsh was also the name of the hero Rustam's horse. The fuller Persian form is dirakhshanda, "brilliant". Name lists give Rakhshanda as "radiant" or "brilliant", matching the dictionary. A well-known Indian bearer is the Delhi writer and translator Rakhshanda Jalil, who works on Urdu and Hindi literature.
