Asna meaning
Asna (اسنیٰ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
More brilliant, more exalted (from sanā, 'brightness, high rank')
Also used to mean: radiant
Asna (اسنیٰ) is Arabic asnā, "more brilliant" or "more exalted", from the root s-n-w. Lane's lexicon gives sanan as light, especially the flash of lightning or the glow of fire, sanāʾ as high rank, and saniyy as one who is exalted in rank, so the root joins brightness with honour. The Quran speaks of the flash of lightning, sanā barqihi (24:43). Name lists give Asna as "brilliant" or "radiant". It is used by Muslim families across India.
