Husna meaning
Husna (حسنیٰ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
The best, the most beautiful (feminine of aḥsan)
Also used to mean: beauty, excellence
Husna (حسنیٰ) is the Arabic ḥusnā, the feminine of aḥsan, "better, best, more beautiful", from the root ḥ-s-n, "to be good or beautiful". Lane gives the elative as "more, and most, goodly or beautiful", and describes the root's goodness as covering both what is good in itself and what is good in action. Ḥusnā is that quality in its highest degree: the best, the most beautiful. It is best known from al-asmāʾ al-ḥusnā, "the most beautiful names" of God (7:180). Name lists give Husna as "beauty" or "excellence", which fits. Ḥusn, "beauty", and the names Hasan, Husain and Mohsin all come from the same root.
