Tasleem meaning
Tasleem (تسلیم) is a Muslim unisex name of Arabic origin, used for both girls and boys.
Salutation, greeting; delivering or yielding; submission and assent to God's decree
Tasleem (تسلیم) is the Arabic taslīm, from sallama, built on the root of salām, "peace". Lane's lexicon gives three main senses: greeting someone with a prayer for his safety, as in al-salāmu ʿalaykum; delivering or handing over a thing to its owner; and giving one's assent and submission to what God has decreed. In Urdu, taslīm is also a respectful greeting with a bow. Name lists give Tasleem as "salutation" or "submission". In India it is used for girls and boys; Taslima is a feminine form.
