Majeed meaning
Majeed (مجید) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Glorious, noble, abounding in good; al-Majīd, the Glorious
Majeed (مجید) is the Arabic majīd, "glorious". Lane's lexicon defines it as a person possessing majd, glory, honour and nobility, abounding in good and beneficent, with a stronger sense than mājid, the source of the name Majid. As a name of God, al-Majīd means the Glorious, the one who gives bountifully. The Quran describes God as the glorious Lord of the Throne in 85:15, and calls the Quran itself majīd in 85:21. The fuller form Abdul Majeed, "servant of the Glorious", is also used.
