Mohsin meaning
Mohsin (محسن) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
One who does good to others; a benefactor
Mohsin (محسن) is the Arabic muḥsin, the active participle of aḥsana, from the root ḥ-s-n, "to be good or beautiful". Lane defines aḥsana as acting well toward someone or doing good to him, and quotes the Quranic line in which Joseph says God was good to him when He brought him out of prison (12:100). A muḥsin is therefore a person who does good: a benefactor. The Quran uses the plural often, as in the closing words of 2:195, that God loves those who do good. Name lists give Mohsin as "benefactor" or "charitable", matching the dictionary. The same root gives the names Hasan, Husain and Husna.
