Mohiuddin meaning
Mohiuddin (محی الدین) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Reviver of the faith
Mohiuddin (محی الدین) is the Arabic muḥyī al-dīn, "reviver of the faith". Muḥyī is the active participle of aḥyā, which Lane's lexicon explains as God making someone alive, giving or restoring life, and, figuratively, endowing a person with understanding. Dīn means obedience and religion, especially Islam. The title was borne by the Sufi master Abdul Qadir Jilani, known in India as Ghaus-e-Azam, and is also used as a personal name. The Urdu poet Makhdoom Mohiuddin (1908–1969) of Hyderabad is a well-known bearer.
