Mitali meaning
Mitali (मिताली) is a Hindu girl's name of Bengali origin.
Friendship, close companionship, alliance
Mitali (মিতালি) is an ordinary Bengali word for friendship. The Samsad Bengali–English Dictionary defines it as friendship, close fellowship or an alliance, and it comes from mitā, "a friend or companion", which is related to Sanskrit mitra, "friend". Though the word is Bengali, the name is also used in Gujarati, Marathi and other families. Another spelling is Mithali, as borne by Mithali Raj, the former captain of India's women's cricket team.
