Muazzam meaning
Muazzam (معظم) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Made great; magnified, honoured, revered
Also used to mean: magnificent, exalted
Muazzam (معظم) is the Arabic muʿaẓẓam, the passive participle of ʿaẓẓama, which Lane's lexicon explains as to make something great, and to magnify, honour or treat with reverence. The root also gives ʿaẓīm, "great, mighty". So the name means "honoured, revered, exalted". Name lists give it as "magnificent" or "exalted". Prince Muazzam, a son of Aurangzeb, later ruled as the Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah I. Moazzam is an alternative spelling.
