Adam meaning
Adam (آدم) is a Muslim, Christian and international boy's name of Arabic origin.
Adam, father of mankind; Lane treats the name as Hebrew
Also used to mean: the first man
Adam (آدم) is the name of the first human being and, in Islam, the first prophet. The Quran tells how God taught Adam the names of all things (2:31). Lane's lexicon enters the name under the Arabic root ʾ-d-m, where related words mean "brownness" (udma) and "skin, surface" (adīm), but after noting the competing explanations Lane concludes that Ādam is a foreign, Hebrew word. The name is shared by Muslims, Christians and Jews, and is used in India by Muslim and Christian families alike.
