Jahanzeb meaning
Jahanzeb (جہانزیب) is a Muslim boy's name of Persian origin (Urdu usage).
Ornament of the world (jahān 'world' + zeb 'ornament, beauty')
Also used to mean: beauty of the world
Jahanzeb (جہانزیب) joins two Persian words: jahān, "the world", and zeb, which Steingass's dictionary defines as ornament, elegance or beauty. Together they mean "ornament of the world", built like the Mughal name Aurangzeb, "ornament of the throne". Steingass lists the two words separately rather than the compound, so the meaning comes from its parts. In Mughal times the name was given to princesses, such as Jahanzeb Banu Begum, but in India and Pakistan today it is a boy's name. A few sites say "conqueror of the world", which is the meaning of Jahangir.
