Zayan meaning
Zayan (زیان) is a Muslim and international boy's name of Arabic origin.
Beautiful (Lane cites qamar zayān, 'a beautiful moon')
Zayan (زیان) comes from the Arabic root z-y-n, "adornment, beauty", the same root as the name Zain. Lane records the word only in one phrase, qamar zayān, which he gives, on the authority of the Qāmūs, as "a beautiful moon". Name lists today give Zayan as "beautiful" or "beautifier", in line with that sense. Parents may want to know one thing about the spelling: written زیان in Urdu, the same letters also spell the Persian word ziyān, "damage, detriment, injury", which Steingass records and which is everyday Urdu. In speech the two are told apart by pronunciation. In English the name is spelled Zayan, Zayaan or Zayyan. It does not occur in the Quran.
