Gulfam meaning
Gulfam (گلفام) is a Muslim boy's name of Persian origin (Urdu usage).
Rose-coloured, rosy; figuratively a beloved
Also used to mean: handsome
Gulfam (گلفام) is a Persian compound of gul, "rose", and fām, "colour". Steingass's Persian dictionary defines gul-fām as rose-coloured or rose-like and gives a second sense, a beloved. Urdu poets use it for a rosy complexion and for someone very handsome, and that is how families in India read the name. Name lists give "rose-coloured" or "rosy", which matches the dictionary. In Iran the same word, spelt Golfam, is given to girls, but among Indian and Pakistani Muslims Gulfam is mostly a boy's name.
